NAIROBI, Kenya, June 22 – Technology solutions provider Techno Brain GBS has appointed former Microsoft executive Orebambo Sofola as a non-executive director as it seeks to strengthen governance and support its expansion plans.
Sofola, popularly known as Bambo, brings more than three decades of experience in software engineering, cloud computing, business development and technology-led growth across emerging markets.
Based in Seattle, United States, he previously held several senior leadership positions at Microsoft, including General Manager roles covering the Middle East, Africa, India and Southeast Asia.
During his time at Microsoft, he oversaw business growth, strategic partnerships, technology adoption and market expansion initiatives, while also supporting talent development and innovation programmes.
Techno Brain said the appointment is aimed at enhancing its governance framework and supporting growth across its technology, engineering and business services operations.
The company believes Sofola’s experience in cloud technologies, digital transformation and international markets will help guide its long-term strategy as demand for artificial intelligence and digital solutions continues to rise.
The appointment comes as firms across Africa increasingly invest in AI, cloud services and automation to improve efficiency and remain competitive in a rapidly evolving digital economy.
As a non-executive director, Sofola will provide strategic oversight on technology trends, market expansion, partnerships and growth opportunities.
Techno Brain operates across multiple markets, providing digital transformation, IT services and business solutions to governments, enterprises and development organisations.
