SAD: Kibra MP Ken Okoth passes on after battle with cancer

Kibra Member of Parliament Ken Okoth is dead.

According to various news sources, he was rushed to Nairobi Hospital’s ICU on Thursday night (25.07.19) after suffering multiple organ failure. He passed on this Friday evening (26.07.19).

Two weeks ago, Okoth made his first official appearance to the public after being away in France for five months seeking treatment for colorectal cancer. He had attended the Kibra Music Fest at Moi Girls School, Nairobi.

In March, Okoth revealed to Kenyans that he was managing stage four colorectal cancer and will survive.

As reported by The Sauce in April, The member of Parliament tweeted that he was alive and that Kenyans on Twitter should stop killing him before his time with rumours. This was after the news of him being dead made him the number one trending topic on Twitter on Tuesday afternoon (09.04.19).

Okoth was 41 years old and was serving his second term as the area’s member of parliament.
