Popular Kenyan musician Nazizi Hirji and her husband are mourning the untimely passing of her younger son, Jazeel.
The three-year old tragically lost his life in an accident that occurred on Christmas day at the hotel where they were staying in Tanzania.
Nazizi and her longtime collaborator Wyre released a statement on social media on Wednesday (27.12.2023) night.
“We lost this young soul in an unfortunate accident at the hotel where the family was staying,” the statement read in part.
The statement added that Jazeel’s body was transferred to Nairobi and buried on Wednesday, according to the Islamic religion.
The family requested for privacy as they mourn.
“We appeal for your compassion and understanding out of respect for their need for peace during this time of mourning.”
