In a recent video, Karuga Kimani alias KRG the Don is seen flaunting wads of cash. The money is bundled up and occupying a significant space in a car, as the usually braggadocious KRG shows it off.
The clip brought about controversy, with many Kenyans on social media questioning how exactly KRG affords the affluent life he so much boasts about.
Meanwhile in what looks like a scripted skit while flaunting the loads of cash, KRG seemingly turns down a deal from an unnamed betting company because they could not meet his Ksh 100 million demand.
Reacting to the video, politician Alinur Mohamed said: “This is just not okay. People are starving. One meal a day is a miracle to some. Some have not paid rent as low as 4k for months and risk getting kicked out with kids. God please help us, it’s only you who can”.
The Kenya Revenue Authority also reacted to the video by sharing a post on twitter directed to KRG. Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai referred to him as, “Another broke fool who is given money by former MP to flaunt.”
