Every annum when Valentine’s rolls around, the paradoxical and imaginary men’s conference become what constantly attempts to steal the appeal Valentine’s bears.
While it is merely a concept said to have been devised by one Jackson Kibor, men’s conference-inclining conversations take centrestage every February 14.
Men will have a field day today, poking fun at Valentine’s and subjecting anyone who even remotely endorses it to unrelenting ridicule. Memes, jest and over-the-top mockery will reign supreme on your timeline so act not surprised when you bump into a lot of those in your scrolling escapades.
Jest aside, if there ever were an actual men’s conference (cross your fingers that that happen!), there is more than a myriad real life pertinent issues that would need addressing. Wide ranging topics entailing but not limited to a need for mental health awareness, discarding old masculinity ideals, rising to the occasion as regards being present fathers would be the focal points. Somebody make this happen, please.
