KCB thrash Bulls to start Kenya Cup on a high

NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 25 – KCB RFC launched their Kenya Cup title defence with a resounding 48-11 victory over promoted side Western Bulls as the 2019/20 season kicked off on Saturday in various venues across the country.

In other results, Kabras whitewashed another promoted side Kisumu 89-0, Homeboyz were 26-13 winners over Kenya Harlequin in the highlight of the weekend, Nondescripts lost 14-26 to Impala, Menengai Oilers thrashed Nakuru 31- 5 while BlakBlad fell 27-34 to Mwamba.

KCB got their tries from Elphas Adunga, Darwin Mukidza, Francis Mwita and Nick Ongeri with Bailey Anyasi and Eugene Asava getting points for Western Bulls.

In Kakamega, Timoci Saniate grounded a hat-trick on his debut while former Kenyan international Lawrence Buyachi also got on the scoresheet.

George Nyambua, Paul Abuto, Brian Tang, Eugine Sifuna, Hillary Odhiambo and Felix Ayange were also on the scoresheet for the 2017, 2018 and 2019 Kenya Cup runners up.

KCB’s next game is a short trip to Kenya Harlequin who lost 26-11 to Homeboyz while Western Bulls return home to host Menengai Oilers.
