NAIROBI, Kenya, May 3 – Africa50, the pan-African infrastructure investment platform, has announced the appointment of Papa Demba Diallo as Managing Director, Project Development.
The Senegalese join Africa50 with over 20 years of experience in the infrastructure investment space.
Prior, he served as CEO of the Senegalese Sovereign Wealth Fund FONSIS, overseeing the ICT, Health, Infrastructure, Transport, and Services Units.
Over the course of his tenure at FONSIS, Diallo developed and executed the fund’s long-term growth agenda, and investment strategy.
Diallo has boasted a stellar career throughout his career, where he has worked as Executive Vice President at Sonatel (Orange Senegal) and CEO of Sonatel Business Solutions, among other roles.

Diallo holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University Paris-IX Dauphine in France and two Masters of Science (MSc) in Telecommunications and Information Systems Engineering and in Computer and Communications Networks from Telecom Sud Paris in France.
