Kenyan songstress is set to drop her next body of work later this week – Friday, July 19. This will be the singer-songwriter’s 5th studio album.
The ‘My Money’ and ‘Wonka’ hitmaker has been consistently teasing the new LP over the last couple of months, dropping a few singles off of it and most recently sharing its stunning artwork, among them ‘Inconsistent’ and ‘My Shine.’
‘Mood 4 Life’ is a 13-track album that sees the singer delve further into her creative bag, doing so as an independent artiste while at it. In a Q&A sessions with fans, Kimani divulged that she recorded about 70 songs before narrowing down to the final 13 that made the project, adding that it took 3 years to make the record. She also promises to accompany the new music with visuals and lets fans in on a little fun fact that there are surprise features on the new project.
The talented former Chocolate City label signee executed produced the LP, that primarily credits producers Alexay Beats, TonyRossBest and her frequent production collaborator, Drey Beatz.
Kimani promises a ‘No skips’ experience and teases that a deluxe version of the album could be underway as well. ‘Safari’, ‘Afropolitan’, ‘Afreaka’ and ‘Spirit Animal’ are this project’s predecessors – all of which were subject to critical acclaim.
