Veteran Actor Ken Ambani Lands Mombasa County Job

Popular Kenyan actor Ken Ambani has been sworn in as a Mombasa County Executive Committee Member (CECM).

The acclaimed actor was among ten people nominated to Cabinet by Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Sharif Nassir, and approved by the county assembly after vetting in February.

“Out of several million Kenyans, you appointed me to be among your 10 CECMs. I don’t take it for granted sir! Thank you. Ready to serve Mombasa, so help me God,” he wrote.

Ambani famed for his role as Baraza on the long-running local TV drama ‘Tausi’ takes up his new role as Mombasa County’s Public Service, Administration, Youth, Gender, Social Services, and Sports CECM.

The father of four has been in the film industry for over two decades and he has been featured in other renowned productions including Wingu La Moto, Tushauriane, Shuga, Mali, Makutano Junction, Cobra Squad, Subira and Kovu among many others.
