Afro-Indie and soul singer Njerae has released her highly-anticipated EP, Four Letter Word this Valentine’s Day.
Njerae shared that this special release perfectly aligns with the month of love, offering listeners soulful tracks to add to their Valentine’s Day playlists. The EP’s arrival comes shortly after Njerae earned a spot in Apple Music’s prestigious Africa Rising Stars Class of 2025, representing Kenya and East Africa.
Four Letter Word delves into the complexities of love, capturing the raw emotions that come with relationships. The EP features four tracks: Fight for You (produced by Wondamagik), Beg for It (produced by Kobby Worldwide), Decide (produced by Vic West), and Hypnotize (produced by Kobby Worldwide). On January 17th, Njerae gave fans a taste of what’s to come with the release of Beg for It, which quickly became a favorite sing-along hit, peaking at #36 on Apple Music’s Top 100 Kenya chart. The track has been a crowd-pleaser, with audiences enthusiastically vibing to it at her live performances. Known as the ‘Queen of Love,’ Njerae continues to craft music that resonates with lovers, hopeful romantics, and even those navigating heartbreak.
“I wanted to create a body of work that captures every facet of love—from passion and desire to obsession and connection,” Njerae explains.
The EP marks a return to her musical roots. Njerae highlights that while her 2024 project Out with the Old showcased her artistic experimentation, Four Letter Word blends those creative lessons with her original style. The result is a refined sound shaped by her collaboration with producers Wondamagik, Kobby Worldwide, and Vic West.
“This project is about rediscovering myself. I’m blending everything I’ve learned from my past projects with the essence of my original style,” Njerae shares.
