NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 7 – Nairobi will host the 2025 African Venture Philanthropy Alliance (AVPA) Conference from November 3 to 5 at the Trademark Hotel, bringing together over 400 global and continental leaders to explore ways of unlocking Africa’s impact capital.
Held under the theme “Future Proofing Africa: Driving Sustainable Investments and Innovations for Resilient Growth,” the three-day event will convene impact investors, philanthropists, development finance institutions, pension funds, and policymakers to accelerate Africa’s transformation through catalytic capital.
“This is more than just a conference — it’s a pan-African movement to rethink how capital flows to where it matters most,” said AVPA CEO Dr. Frank Aswani. “We’re rallying investors, innovators, and changemakers to co-create bold solutions that shape Africa’s future.”
The conference will feature sessions on policy innovation, local capital mobilisation, blended finance, and visionary leadership, alongside sector-specific discussions on renewable energy, fintech, agri-tech, and AI for scalable impact.
An “Impact Disco” networking event will also offer participants an informal platform to forge partnerships across sectors.
With impact investment in Africa surpassing $11 billion in 2025 and returns ranging between 15–25 percent across industries, AVPA Board Chair Adedotun Sulaiman said the forum aims to align capital with purpose.
“Africa is not short of capital or talent; we are short of alignment. This conference is about turning intent into investment and ambition into impact. Nairobi is the right place, and now is the right time,” Sulaiman said.
