NAIROBI, Kenya, May 6 – Asset financier MOGO has opened its first-ever electric motorbike showroom in Nairobi, targeting boda boda operators.
The company says it is keen on fostering the adoption of environmentally friendly transportation in the country.
The showroom located along Jogoo Road in Nairobi marks part of the company’s strategies to bolster its presence in Kenya.
Its head of boda boda sales, Johannes Vohma, asserted that the move will have far-reaching effects on the rollout of e-mobility in the country.
“The launch of our first electric motorbike store in the country underscores MOGO’s commitment to transforming the transport sector to green mobility,” he said.
Over the past year, Mogo has partnered with various e-bike manufacturers, including Ampersand, Roam, Fika, Spark, and Spiro, to provide affordable financing options for boda boda riders seeking to transition to e-bikes.
