Norway-based Kenyan music group Matata will seemingly start 2025 on a rather different note, at least if their latest update is anything to go by.
As seen on their social media platforms, the ‘Gengetone Love’ singers seemed to confirm the rumors swirling around that one of the members has exited the group. The new pictures shared include only members Freddy Milanya, Richie Mathu, Marcus Ojiambo and Festus Mwenda, which would indicate that Ken Kimathi is the missing figure.
“2025 starts January 9th. Matata like you’ve never seen before. Are you ready? Tap in.” Reads the caption, possibly teasing new music slated for release in a few days.
The foursome have yet to give an official update on Kimathi’s departure. The Sauce will be on the story as soon as the details unravel.
