NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 9 – Epson has pledged to use 100 per cent renewable electricity across its entire manufacturing group by 2023 as a way to reduce the release of carbon footprints from their products.
Speaking during the Epson Media Workshop, Mukesh Bector, Regional Head of sales in East and West Africa said that Epson recognizes that sustainability is the key catalyst for innovation and the company is changing the way people print by being the first company to offer an alternative to cartridges
Epson will be concentrating on improving how people use energy by utilizing Heat-Free Technology, which promises lower power consumption from one page at a time and uses no heat in the ink ejection process.
“We strongly believe that energy-saving solutions, space saving innovations help to protect the natural environment and enrich the communities we serve,” Bector said.
He said that the business will provide funding for alliances and organizations to inform the public about the advantages of recycling in the nation.
“As a company we have come really a long way and the company continues to grow in an organic way and in a responsible way keeping in mind the society we are operating in,” he added.
