The Duchess of Edinburgh hosted a special reception in Nairobi ahead of International Women’s Day, bringing together women leaders and stakeholders to celebrate the role of women in driving change across Kenya.
Held on Wednesday at the British High Commission, the event was co-hosted with Acting British High Commissioner Dr Ed Barnett and focused on advancing women’s leadership, peacebuilding and gender equality.
The reception highlighted the growing influence of Kenyan women across sectors, while reinforcing the United Kingdom’s commitment to supporting women’s empowerment as part of the Kenya–UK strategic partnership.
