NAIROBI, Kenya, May 21 – The Nairobi County Government’s Effciency and Monitoring Unit concluded the Final Rapid Results Initiative (RRI) mid term review summit sessions for NCCG sectors at the Nairobi Safari Club.

The exercise commenced on May 15 to create a path towards ‘Transformative Leap towards Progress and Efficiency.”

“I want to express my appreciation to all participating Sectors for their commitment towards this initiative. Your dedication and hard work in setting and implementing ambitious goals will undoubtedly yield significant results,” Governor Johnson Sakaja stated.

“I am confident that the results of the RRI initiative will not only transform our communities but also set a model for other countries to follow. Your dedication and hard work toward the betterment of Nairobi city is highly appreciated. Your contributions to improving service delivery, enhancing public safety, promoting economic growth, and reducing poverty are highly commendable. I am confident that your efforts will yield positive and tangible results in the shortest time possible.”

The Director Efficiency and Monitoring Unit Daniel Masetu said that the Rapid Results Initiative 50 Day Mid Term Evaluation envisages to see a Paradigm shift, attitude change and transformative leadership in service delivery challenges amongst Nairobi City County staff.

“There are reasons to use Results-Based management(RBM) and RRA. The various teams are supported by a rapid results coach who reinforces management and implementation discipline during the team’s 100-day tenure.”

The Nairobi City County Government will use the Rapid Results Approach (RRA) to help in its decision-making processes, involve stakeholders, and partners in achieving tangible results within the set 100 days. The RRA enables engagement across a range of difficult service delivery situations with its tools, strategies, and accompanying focus on teamwork.

“The RRA is an experience-based process and methodology that requires leadership teams to be adaptive, flexible, and creative in the achievement of their objectives. The approach leverages learning through implementation. Teams are able to change strategies as they go, developing what works and eliminating failed strategies.” said Masetu
