UDA Sets February 2 Deadline for Aspirants Ahead of 2027 Elections

NAIROBI, Kenya Jan 29 – The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has set Monday, as the deadline for registration to its Aspirants’ Forum, signaling early preparations for the 2027 General Election.

In a notice issued by the party’s National Elections Board (NEB), UDA urged all interested and qualified party members intending to vie for elective positions to complete their registration by 11:59 p.m.

“Following a notice issued on January 21, 2026, the United Democratic Alliance hereby informs all party members and aspiring candidates that the registration deadline for the UDA Aspirants’ Forum is Monday, February 2, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.,” the statement read.

The party confirmed that registration will be conducted exclusively via the official online portal, and aspirants must also verify their details on the platform to ensure successful registration.

“All qualified and interested party members who intend to contest for various elective positions in the 2027 General Election are invited to complete their registration within the stipulated period,” the NEB added.

All duly registered aspirants will be invited to attend the Aspirants’ Forum meeting scheduled for Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. at State House, Nairobi. Participants are required to bring their national identity cards for verification.

The forum aims to serve as an early engagement platform between the party leadership and prospective candidates, as UDA begins laying the groundwork for nominations and campaign strategies ahead of the next general election.

NEB Chairman Anthony Mwaura emphasized the party’s commitment to transparent and organized internal electoral processes as it gears up for the 2027 contest.
