NAIROBI, Kenya, August 23, 2026 – Tusker were crowned FKF Super Cup champions after a 3-1 victory over Gor Mahia at the Nyayo Stadium on Sunday evening.

The brewers took the lead after 33 minutes when Francis Oduor’s deflected shot found its way past Humphrey Katasi in Gor Mahia goal.

Two minutes later, Eugene Ikutwa doubled the advantage with a long range shot that left Katasi clutching at straws.

Ikutwa then turned into villain, turning Daniel Sakari’s throw-in into his own net to hand their opponents a lifeline.

K’Ogalo would have made it 2-2 but for Dennis Omedi’s inability to connect with Ben Stanley Omondi’s low cross from the right.

The Premier League champions came back from the dressing room firing on all cylinders but could not find the target.

It proved costly as the brewers extended their lead to 3-1 in the 54th minute through Ian Simiyu.

Yakeen Muteheli’s cross found Simiyu who reacted fastest with a diving header past Mike Kibwage into the net for the third goal.

From then on, Julien Mette’s charges controlled the game through a stoic defensive performance in which they limited their opponent’s forays into their penalty area.
