NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 24 – Standard Bank has been ranked Africa’s most valuable bank brand for the fifth consecutive year by Brand Finance.
The ranking is based on an assessment of brand strength, financial performance and stakeholder perception across more than 5,000 global brands.
Standard Bank operates in Kenya as Stanbic Bank Kenya, where it has a presence spanning over a century.
Group Chief Executive Sim Tshabalala said the recognition reflects continued trust from clients and partners.
“Five consecutive years as Africa’s most valuable banking brand is not something we take for granted. The recognition affirms that our clients, partners and communities continue to place their trust in us,” he said.
Chief Operating Officer Margaret Nienaber said the group’s longevity is anchored on strong partnerships and customer confidence.
“Our brand is about people and impact… We are deeply grateful to every employee and every client who continues to have confidence in our abilities,” she said.
In Kenya, Abraham Ongenge said the lender continues to leverage the group’s network to deliver value to clients.
“We are proud to be part of a brand that is steering Africa’s growth,” he said.
The accolade adds to a series of global recognitions, including listings by Forbes, TIME Magazine and Newsweek among top global companies.
