NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 3 – Safaricom has said that M-Pesa users will no longer be allowed to send money to unregistered lines, effective February 5, 2023.
However, the telco said that its customers will be able to send and receive money across various mobile money providers, such as Airtel and T-Kash.
“We encourage customers who are not registered for mobile money services to register by visiting a Safaricom Shop or M-PESA Agent with their Identity Document,” Safaricom announced today.
