NAIROBI, Kenya, Jan 11 – Poultry farmers are counting losses due to an influx of imported eggs from neighboring countries, which have flooded the local market.
The Federation of Kenya Poultry Farmers now wants the government to halt the dumping of such products.
A majority of them are now counting financial losses amid a drop in the prices of commodities as well as falling prices.
This comes at a time when farmers are grappling with high input costs, such as chicken feed, that have hit the ceiling.
