NAIROBI, Kenya, Jan 14 – The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has announced an increase in fuel prices effective midnight.
A litre of super petrol will rise by Sh0.29, diesel by Sh2 and kerosene by Sh3.
Therefore, a liter of petrol will rise to Sh176.58 in Nairobi. While a liter of diesel will retail at Sh167.06, a similar kerosene quantity will go for Sh151.39.
EPRA noted variations in the average landed costs for imported fuel in December 2024.
While petrol decreased slightly by 0.14% to US$611.69 per cubic metre, diesel rose by 0.06% to US$644.10, and kerosene dropped by 1.62% to US$649.64.
The adjustments reflect changes in global crude oil prices and other importation costs.
