NAIROBI, Kenya, Dec 7 – Credit Bank PLC is looking forward to being listed at the Nairobi Stock Exchange (NSE) as part of its goal to expand market access and attract more investors.
Despite firms listed on the NSE facing some challenges, the lender says the benefit outweighs the challenges.
“This move is aligned with the bank’s enduring vision of amplifying its market presence and inviting a broader spectrum of investors to partake in its continuing success,” Credit Bank said.
“Despite the ongoing challenges experienced by publicly listed companies, we remain optimistic about the strategic advantages of listing Credit Bank shares on the Nairobi Stock Exchange.”
Its principal shareholder is in talks with all stakeholders to ensure a broad-based consensus on the listing.
“Our proposed listing signifies more than just our growth trajectory; it emphasizes our unwavering commitment to elevating Credit Bank’s status from a tier 3 to a tier 2 bank, thereby solidifying long-term stability.”
Credit Bank has been operational for 37 years and is licensed by the Central Bank of Kenya.
