NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 23 – Google LLC has announced that it will be increasing its yearly storage subscription from Sh800 to Sh3,800 starting this December.

This means that costs for getting more space for Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos, among other things, are set to go up from Sh3,000.

“Google LLC is increasing the price of your subscription “Google One (200 GB)” from Ksh 3,000.00/year to Ksh 3,800.00/year starting on December 16, 2023,” Google said in a statement.

The tech firm also informed users that the total cost is inclusive of taxes.

“You’ll automatically be charged the subscription price (plus any taxes) to the payment method provided until you cancel,” it added.

“Your price may change again as described in the Google Play Terms of Service. You can cancel at any time without additional charges and see upcoming charges in Subscriptions on Google Play.”
