NAIROBI, Kenya, May 12 — Former Mungiki Leader Maina Njenga claims that police raided several homes in Laikipia County, even as authorities denied any knowledge of such an operation.

Armed police are alleged to have raided his homes in Ol Ng’arua, Laikipia, as well as Muthaiga in Nyahururu .

At his Muthaiga home in Nyahururu town, a worker Christopher Wafula said that a contingent of police arrived at the home in two police land cruisers at around 6:30 in the morning.

Wafula said after letting them in, they left minutes later without saying a word after searching the house.

However, Nyahururu Sub County Police Commander Tom Okoth denied knowledge of the said raid within his area of jurisdiction.
