CPF Group Pension Funds hit Sh70 billion

NAIROBI, Kenya, July 21 – CPF Group Pension Fund schemes have grown to Sh70 billion with a combined membership of 113,090.

The group administers three schemes, such as the Local Authorities Pension Trust (LAPTRUST), the County Pension Funds, and the CPF Individual Pension Plan.

While the LAPTRUST sheme fund stood at Sh31.26 billion, the County Pension Fund was at Sh35.07 billion.

“This performance was made possible by relentlessly focusing on our strategic priorities,” CPF Financial Services Chairman Maurice Nduranu said.

“Despite the uncertainties brought about by the challenging global macroeconomic and geopolitical environment, it is clear that across our footprint, we are well-positioned to leverage our unique strengths to meet stakeholder expectations,” said Nduranu.

With the inclusion of the National Government Public Service Superannuation Scheme (PSSS), the Assets Under Management (AUM) for all the pension schemes managed by CPF Financial Services are currently over Sh150 billion, with a membership base of 500,000 members across the country.
