NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 8 – The Anti-Corruption Court has allowed the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to withdraw the corruption case against former Kenya Power Managing Director Ken Tarus.

According to trial magistrate Elizabeth Juma, this was due to lack of evidence linking him to the case.

While discharging Tarus, Juma said that the court cannot go on with the matter or compel the ODPP to continue with the case.

However, the case against his co-accused will proceed.

Tarus had been charged alongside eight other suspects.
