NAIROBI, Kenya, Aug 27 – Tech firm Microsoft has appointed Phyllis Migwi as the Kenya Country Manager.
She takes over the leadership of the technology giant from Kendi Ntwiga who left the firm to join Meta.
Prior to her appointment, Phyllis served as Regional Head, Hybrid Cloud and AI Africa Growth Markey at IBM.
She has also held leadership roles in Fast Moving Consumer Goods and Information Communication Technology sectors in India, Europe, Africa and North America.
“I am thrilled at the opportunity to play my part in Africa’s economic growth story. To position Microsoft as the premier partner for that growth, while developing the leaders who will overcome present challenges and build memorials for the future,” said Migwi.
She possesses vast experience in strategy and operations leadership, brand development, marketing and program management.
Her career which spans over two decades has given her a track record as a leader and a business catalyst, driving technology in the various positions she held.
Welcoming her to the firm, Microsoft’s Africa Regional Cluster General Manager Wael Elkabbany noted that Migwi’s vast experience will be instrumental in propelling the company’s business.

Phyllis holds an MBA from Hult International Business Schools and a Bachelor of Commerce, Business Administration and Management from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA).
