NAIROBI, Kenya, Jan 7 – Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta has joined leaders to wish Azimio La Umoja Leader Raila Odinga a happy birthday as he turns 78 years.
In his message to his preferred successor, the Former President wished his brother Odinga blessings and favor as he turns a year older.

Narc Kenya Leader Martha Karua also joined in to wish Odinga who they campaigned together in the 2022 August polls but lost to the President William Ruto.
Since 1997, when he came third behind Daniel arap Moi and Mwai Kibaki, Odinga has run for president without success. His closest to the seat came in 2007 when former president Kibaki won controversially.
Democratic Action Party which is led by Former Defense Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa also wished Odinga birthday wishes by thanking him in the efforts he made to fight for constitutionalism and democracy.

Odinga also evoked mixed emotions in the political scene with Nigerian biographer Babafemi Badejo describing him as the enigma of Kenyan politics.
To his supporters, he is a democrat who has sacrificed a lot in his fight against dictatorship.
Others see him as a person who will do anything to gain power.
