NAIROBI, Kenya, Dec 1 – The National El Nino Flood Emergency and Disaster Command Center has developed a toll-free number that Kenyans have been urged to call and report any flood-related emergency case.
According to a notice published by the Ministry of the Interior today, Kenyans living in flood-prone areas have been advised to call 0800721571 to report any emergencies that they may encounter.
The ministry has stated that the number from NDOC is free and Citizens have access to it on a 24/7 basis.
This follows after 16 death cases were reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the total toll of deaths to 136 across the country.
“The National El-Nino Flood Emergency and Disaster Response Command Center @NDOCKenya has established a toll-free number 0800721571 to which Kenyans are advised to call and report any flood emergency incidents, 24/7,” stated the ministry.
Additionally, the command has further added a QR code that Kenyans have been advised to scan to stay up to date on any flood-related alerts and emergency incidents.
