Celebs Rally Behind Colonel Mustapha’s Fundraising Appeal

Kenyan celebrities are rallying behind one of their own, rapper Colonel Mustapha’s fundraising appeal.

The hitmaker has set up a Paybill number to support his ailing mother, who is suffering from Lymphoma Cancer.

The personalities have taken to social media to show their solidarity by sharing the rapper’s call for financial help. These include, media personality Willy M Tuva, musician Nameless and his singer wife Wahu.

Last week, as reported by The Sauce, a video of Mustafa working at a construction site went viral with many fans wondering what happened to him. The rapper was seen carrying stones and handing them over to masons, as well as mixing sand and water.

A well wisher Fauz Khalid who is a maritime expert went ahead mobilized Kenyans on Twitter to come through for Mustafa and his family after the story broke. Through his efforts, he was able to raise over Ksh 600,000.

Mustafa got his claim to fame in the early 2000s while part of the rap group Deux Vultures releasing hits like ‘Kinyaunyau’, Kapatikana, and Adhiambo among many others. The hitmaker added reality star to his name when he joined the cast of Nairobi Diaries.

During an interview on NTV in 2022, Mustapha revealed that he had suffered from depression after leaving the ‘Nairobi Diaries show.’
