NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 30 – Hundreds of Africa’s leading technology executives are set to converge in Naivasha next month for the 17th edition of the CIO100 Awards and Symposium, an annual gathering that celebrates innovation and digital transformation across the continent.
Scheduled for November 19–21, 2025, at Enashipai Resort & Spa, the event will bring together CIOs, CTOs, and digital strategists to explore the impact of emerging technologies — from artificial intelligence and cloud computing to cybersecurity and analytics — on Africa’s business landscape.
Organised by CIO Africa (by dx5), the symposium will feature high-level panels, masterclasses, roundtables, and the prestigious CIO100 Awards Gala, which recognises organisations and individuals driving technology-led growth.

According to the CIO100 Megatrends Report, which anchors the event, cloud computing remains the most widely adopted emerging technology among African firms, followed by artificial intelligence (54.8%), data analytics (43.8%), and cybersecurity (43.6%).
The awards will also highlight standout projects like that of Geoffrey Gitagia, CIO of Avenue Healthcare and the reigning CIO of the Year Africa, who led a digital initiative that reduced patient onboarding time to just three minutes.
Past winners include Moses Okundi (Absa Bank), Jaine Mwai (Standard Chartered Bank), and Kenneth Ogwang’ (Diageo), underscoring the event’s reputation as Africa’s premier recognition for tech leadership.
