TAAG Angola Airlines to launch cargo services in Nairobi

NAIROBI, Kenya, Sept 14 – TAAG Angola Airlines, the national carrier of Angola, has announced plans to commence cargo services to Nairobi, expanding its regional footprint.

The airline confirmed the new route in an update, stating that the service will be rolled out in the fourth quarter of 2024, alongside additional cargo routes to Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Libreville in Gabon.

“We are expanding our cargo services to Nairobi, Kinshasa, and Libreville. Schedule date and frequency details coming soon,” the airline disclosed.

This expansion is part of TAAG’s growth strategy under its new leadership.

In July, the airline doubled its cargo services between Lagos, Brazzaville, and Johannesburg.

To further support its growing logistics operations, TAAG recently converted one of its passenger Boeing 737 planes into a cargo aircraft, aiming to bolster its cargo volumes across the region.

TAAG’s renewed focus on cargo services is seen as a critical move to tap into the rising demand for freight transportation in Africa.
